WHY MERLO ? In 1964, Mr. Amilcare Merlo launched the company, which he still is the President. His objective: owning the most innovative company within the heavy equipment market. To do so, each year, 9.7 % of turnover is reinvested in Research and Development in addition to manufacturing 90 % of all components. In 2004, Manulift took up a challenge by introducing this brand of high quality and highly productive telehandlers to Canada. It was an immediate success with 100 units sold the first year and more than 800 to this day. Manulift’s rental fleet, the largest in Canada, has 60 % of this brand because of its low maintenance costs and its high life cycle. | |
